ListScrub — Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

ListScrub is a browser extension that cleans, deduplicates, and formats lead or contact lists (names, email addresses, phone numbers, company names) that you paste or upload. This page explains what happens to that data.

What data ListScrub processes

When you paste or upload a list into ListScrub, the extension reads that data (which may include personally identifiable information such as names, email addresses, and phone numbers belonging to your leads or contacts) in order to validate, normalize, and deduplicate it.

Where that data goes: nowhere

All list-cleaning logic runs entirely inside your browser, on your device. ListScrub does not upload, transmit, sync, or store your list data on any server. Once you close the extension popup or clear the input, the data is gone — it is never persisted to disk, sent to us, or shared with any third party.

The one network request ListScrub makes

The only network connection this extension can make is a single, user-initiated request to Gumroad's public license-verification API, used solely to confirm a Pro license key when you choose to unlock the paid tier. That request contains only the license key you enter — never any of your list or contact data.

Local storage

ListScrub uses your browser's local storage to remember one thing: whether you've unlocked the Pro tier (a true/false flag). No list data, personal data, or browsing activity is ever stored.

What ListScrub does not do

Payments

Purchases of ListScrub Pro are processed entirely by Gumroad, a third-party payment platform. ListScrub never sees or handles your payment or financial information — that relationship is directly between you and Gumroad, governed by Gumroad's own privacy policy.
